Clinical Psychologist | PhD Fellow | Specialist in CBT, DBT, and Trauma Care
Clinical Psychologist | PhD Fellow
I, Ayesha Ahmad, am a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Clinical Psychologist, currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology. With over 8 years of diverse clinical experience, I have worked with individuals across all age groups—children, adolescents, adults, and families—empowering them to navigate emotional and psychological challenges and achieve long-term mental well-being.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and a strong ethical foundation. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), both proven effective for managing depression, anxiety, personality issues, self-harm, and stress-related disorders. These frameworks help clients break free from limiting thought patterns and build healthier emotional responses and coping strategies.
"My aim is to foster resilience, inner strength, and emotional regulation through compassionate, nonjudgmental care that respects each individual's unique journey."
Additionally, I offer Islamic Integrated Therapy, which combines contemporary psychological models with Islamic values and spirituality. This approach allows me to provide culturally and religiously sensitive care to clients, especially those seeking therapy aligned with their faith.
My training and experience in trauma-informed care helps me to support individuals healing from past abuse, medical trauma, loss, and post-traumatic stress. Over the years, I have worked in various clinical and academic settings, including mental health institutions, universities, and private practice. This background has equipped me with the skills to handle a broad range of psychological issues, including grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, mood disorders, and adjustment problems.
